I recently had a fascinating exchange on Twitter with a gentleman named Robert Juliano, who took exception to my recent post about Joseph Campbell’s tasteless joke about putting the Jews on the moon.
Thanks to Mr. Juliano, I realized that maybe Campbell wasn’t making a joke. Maybe he was making a serious point about how we should re-conceptualize our place in the universe. And that maybe the path to universal peace need not go through Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar, and their extended family.
