“Ding dong, the wicked (Zionist) witch is dead!”
If that apartheid-racist-capitalist-communist-imperialist-settler-colonial-genocidal nation from Hell is finally eliminated, what happens next?
Imagine this: When you wake up tomorrow morning, the top headline is…
Suddenly, there’s a political and military vacuum at the center of a very tough neighborhood:
What do you think happens next?
✨✨✨ Thanks for asking! I believe the people of Palestine will immediately celebrate their emancipation from their Zionist tormentors. Free Palestinians will dance in the streets of Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem, and sing patriotic songs about their love for their homeland. The heroes of the Resistance will be honored at lavish victory banquets and parades. Women will hand out sweets to children. Young intersectional progressives in the West will gather on college campuses to celebrate this glorious victory of the oppressed over their oppressor; Queers for Palestine will be invited to a special “Thank You” luncheon hosted by Ismail Haniyeh and Hassan Nasrallah. The leaders of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Egypt will create a joint fund to support the economic and military development of this fledgling Arab state.
Then, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Palestinian Authority, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Arab Liberation Front, and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade will lay down their weapons and suicide vests, and join together to supervise the first truly fair and free elections in the Middle East. Candidates will campaign and debate. Citizens will organize, canvas, fundraise, and work to get out the vote. On election day, millions of people will flock peacefully to the polls. May the best candidates win!
Then…
New Palestine’s first president will be sworn in. The new Palestinian parliament will draft a Bill of Rights to protect minorities. The writings of John Locke, David Hume, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Adam Smith will be added to school curricula. Freedom fighters who had bravely engaged in a thrilling decades-long life-and-death struggle for national liberation will eagerly embrace the mundane responsibilities of running an actual country: collecting taxes, attending meetings, writing memos, getting on Zoom calls, filling potholes, sweeping the streets, and picking up the trash. And before you can say Allahu Akbar, the state of New Palestine shall become a shining city upon a hill, a beacon of hope for the oppressed, and a light unto the nations. ✨✨✨
You forgot the part where everyone holds hands and sings kumbuya
I don't quite like the scenario of all the Jews being killed. How about instead all of the Jews feeling sorry that they had hurt people's feelings, apologizing to the Palestinians and asking for their forgiveness, and then just abandoning the country and going back to Russia, Poland, Germany, or any place that would accept them?
Then, what would happen next? A bitter power struggle between Iranian backed Hamas and everyone else, leading in a complete victory by Hamas and the murder by mass executions or torture and imprisonment or flight into exile of all opponents. Those remaining and loyal to the regime would be returned to all of the beautiful farms and estates their grandparents used to own - they could even reuse the old keys they had saved just for this occasion.
This would be followed over time by the forcible incorporation of Jordan and Lebanon into the new state, with heavy Iranian backing, with destabilization campaigns aimed at Turkey and Egypt, and massive political violence all over Europe and the USA, including numerous Hamas style attacks in many cities as it became clear that the world was now ready for purification and healing by the strictest application of the laws of an 8th century AD desert society.
