Olive branch or psy-op?
Who cares? What matters is where this ancient vision and vocabulary could take us.
First, I watched this video, which bolstered my spirits.
Then, I read this, which squashed my hopes:
So, on the one hand, this olive branch from Hebron is a potential breakthrough…
… with Muslim leaders standing up to Hamas, Hezbollah & Co., by saying: Here, in Hebron — where Abraham, the patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, is buried — we recognize and embrace our Biblical brothers and sisters, and finally welcome them home.
On other hand, it’s a psy-op…
… a nefarious tactic, maybe orchestrated by the Mossad, to divide and conquer the Palestinian people and forever crush their dream of an independent Palestine.
But here’s the thing:
Our pursuit of a two-state solution has been an epic, bloody failure.
The Islamist dream of a “free Palestine” that would obliterate the Jewish state, thereby clearing the ground for a rebirth of the caliphate — that’s a nightmare for everyone except the Islamists.
Both approaches have proven to be dead ends, literally and figuratively.
So even if this news from Hebron is a psy-op, isn’t it an interesting one? Doesn’t it provide us with a vision and vocabulary that’s far better than what’s currently on offer? And don’t you kinda, sorta hope it might be true?
If so, who or what stands in the way of making this story a reality?
good take onnit here...

psyop didn't....'til ya mentioned it...hmmm....
The solution is for Israel to become a despotic failed state, then it would fit in to the neighborhood, and no longer threaten the Arab and Persian regimes.
